Actually, the day went pretty well until about lunchtime, when the staff wouldn't let us hang out where we usually would hang out, because it was raining.
After that was 4th period, science. Yesterday, we built sail cars out of K'NEX pieces, then attached little battery-powered fans by rubber bands to the top, facing the back, so that it would make the car go. Mine and Maresa's car was built perfectly, and there was no reason why it shouldn't have worked, because everybody else's were speeding along the tables, and ours, when it actually moved, and didn't just spin in really slow circles, moved really slow. Even one of the people from the group that had the best car couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
Right before 5th period, Language Arts, I was reading a book, I Thought My Soul Would Rise and Fly: the Diary of Patsy, a Freed Girl, and my friend Maresa had already read it, and she answered all the questions that make a book interesting, so she just gave most of the book away.
During 6th period, social studies, there were a bunch of people I hate sitting at a group of desks next to where my friend, Isobel, and I were sitting, and one was at our group. They kept saying "Michael Jackson". I didn't know they were talking to me until later, when the one sitting at my table looked straight at me, and said "Michael Jackson". So I looked up and said, "Why do you call me that?" and he said, "Because you're so pale and you have black hair and you look like a dude. Anyway, look over there." So I looked where he was pointing, and one of the stupidest ones lifted up his shirt as if he was on Girls Gone Wild.
Who wouldn't get pissed off? They said I looked like a dude.
Anyway, later, I was kinda close to missing the bus because I was looking for my other friends, Darian and Lydia, and they had already left, so I started walking towards my bus, when Shawna, one of the people that hangs out around me and my friends, comes walking up, and says, "Look who it is, the emo girl!" Which she said obviously just to piss me off, because she actually cuts herself. So, like any self-respecting person, I looked her straight in the eye, and yelled in her face, "Look who's talking!" and walked away.
Now, when I got on the bus, a really annoying short person, Gianni, was sitting in the front, where most people who ride my bus who I hate sit, and right as I got on the bus, he put his arm across the walkway so I couldn't get through, and shouted, "Hey, look! Michael Jackson's on the bus!" and almost the entire front half of the bus at least laughed a little, so I kept walking and knocked down his arm, and found an empty seat.
Now this especially pisses me off, because now people are going to start calling me Michael Jackson, and pretty soon, I'm going to be known throughout the whole school as Michael Jackson. Not only that, but I usually try to be as low-key and unnoticeable as possible, and this just ruins it.
The person who "flashed" in 6th period, Isobel hates so much that she actually said that she was, and I quote, going to kick his a*s. And then Maresa said that she would help her with that.
So, more to the point, this was the first day that I had ever dealt with being made fun of.

Wow, K. That sounds like a truly horrible day. I'm so sorry. People are so mean, and yes...they really DO suck sometimes. :( xoxo
